This Notice describes the processing of personal data carried out by Kairos Next Ltd in connection with the website published at kairosnext.com, including the Privacy Policy, Terms of Service and FAQ pages published on it. It does not describe the Kairos Next mobile application, which is the subject of a separate Privacy Policy.
Kairos Next Ltd is a single-member limited liability company incorporated in Bulgaria under Unified Identification Code (UIC) 208683071, with its registered office in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. It is the controller, within the meaning of Article 4(7) GDPR, of the personal data described in this Notice. Enquiries may be addressed to privacy@kairosnext.com.
The site consists of static pages. It provides no accounts, no login, no contact form, and no subscription facility. We do not request, and you cannot submit through the site, any name, email address, telephone number, postal address, or payment details.
When a browser requests a page, our hosting provider processes the IP address from which the request is made, the date and time of the request, the page or file requested, the user agent string transmitted by the browser, the referring page where one is transmitted, and the response served. That data is generated by the delivery of the page. It is not combined with other data, used to identify you, or used to construct a profile or to measure or analyse traffic.
The site sets no cookies. It writes nothing to local storage, session storage, or IndexedDB, and employs no device fingerprinting, tracking pixels, or web beacons. As no information is stored on, or read from, your terminal equipment, no consent is required under Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC.
Our hosting provider may set a strictly necessary security cookie where certain protective features are enabled, for example in order to distinguish automated traffic from human visitors. Any such cookie serves security alone and performs no advertising or analytics function. As at the effective date of this Notice, no such cookie is set. Should that position change, this Notice will be amended to identify the cookie, its purpose, and its lifetime.
Certain files forming part of the site are served by third parties. Where your browser requests such a file, your IP address is disclosed to the party serving it, together with the request data described in Section 2. No cookie is set by any of them.
On the Privacy Policy, Terms of Service and FAQ pages, the browser additionally requests the current text of those documents from our own backend at api.kairosnext.com. The research pages contain links to doi.org and to academic publishers; those links are followed only at your election, and the destination sites are governed by their own privacy notices.
The processing described in Sections 2 and 4 is carried out on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interests in delivering the website requested, in maintaining its availability, and in protecting it against attack and abuse. We consider those interests not to be overridden by the interests or fundamental rights of the data subject, having regard to the limited data involved, the absence of tracking, profiling, or analytics, and the confinement of the processing to what is technically necessary to serve a requested page. You may object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation.
We operate no web server of our own and keep no web server logs. Request data is processed by our hosting provider for the period necessary to deliver and secure the service, in accordance with the retention periods set out in that provider's documentation. We do not receive, store, or have access to those logs. Correspondence sent to us by email is retained for as long as is necessary to deal with the matter and to comply with our legal obligations.
The site is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare, Inc., acting as our processor under a data processing agreement concluded in accordance with Article 28 GDPR. Cloudflare, Inc. is incorporated in the United States. Requests originating within the European Economic Area are ordinarily served from Cloudflare's European edge locations; Cloudflare operates a global network, and processing may take place outside the EEA. Transfers are made on the basis of the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission under Article 46 GDPR, as incorporated into Cloudflare's data processing agreement.
The third parties identified in Section 4 receive your IP address as a necessary consequence of the browser's request for a file served by them. A current list of processors is available on request at privacy@kairosnext.com.
Subject to the conditions laid down in the GDPR, you have the right to request access to personal data concerning you, its rectification or erasure, the restriction of its processing, and its portability, and the right to object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests.
We would draw your attention to Article 11 GDPR. The request data described in Section 2 is not held in a form that permits us to identify you, and we hold no further information by which such data could be connected to you as a person. We are accordingly unable, in the ordinary course, to act upon a request for access, rectification, or erasure in respect of that data unless you provide information enabling us to do so.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence or place of work. Our lead supervisory authority is the Commission for Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Bulgaria, 2 Prof. Tsvetan Lazarov Blvd., Sofia 1592, Bulgaria.
This Notice may be amended from time to time. The version number and effective date appear at the head of this Notice. A material change to the categories of data processed, to the purposes, or to the recipients will be reflected in an increased version number.
